Bayside Heights is a gritty, developing, overpopulated metropolitan area of 20 million people – and its government has officially just lost its grip on society. Advanced technology blurs the line between what is legal and illegal. Who is morally sound, and who is reprehensible in a land of rug pulls and scams? Do you live by your ethics, or die like a chump?
There is only one unit dedicated to following cyber crime: Crypto Crime Unit 6
It's time to build your team and get ready for the mission.
Underneath this mountain of madness lies a group in waiting – led by Johnny, who has rallied together the wildest bunch of hackers from the past 50 years. They range across the spectrum, and he’s got a weapon for pretty much any cyber crime you could want to commit. Poised and ready to handle all the dirty deeds of a city in trouble. There is a growing feeling that more darkness lies ahead, and no one knows what this group of cyber criminals is going to do next – for good or for evil. It just depends on the day.
They’re focused on acting as the Robin Hoods of crypto land, stealing from thieves and bringing the loot back into the hands of the local community. They do what needs to be done to keep the real criminals in check. But these cops — these dirty cops keep them busy. Years of evading and running from the law make for a tense battle that sets the stage for total war.
No matter which side you pick, the Crew will live on forever. Join us on the journey and pledge your hacking allegiance to Crypto Crime Club!
Father of two little girls, Johnny's got a lot to lose. He got burned hard for 1,000 BTC on Mt. Gox, and hasn’t stopped looking for revenge since. His family thinks he is an Actuary working for a Venture Capital Firm. All his suits cost $3,000+, and he's home by 10 pm every night.
The only levelheaded one in the group, this family man looks squeaky clean – but he’s also a fierce leader and defender of the gang. Johnny doesn’t care about anything outside of Ethereum now. He keeps the group educated, and even though he might not know it himself, he is an absolute information nerd.
Ex-Swedish National Ballet, acrobatic stunt pilot, racecar driver and three-time equestrian champion, complete with emotional swings as big as her prowess. Kira’s got more tricks up her sleeve than Houdini. She also dated a Hell's Angel – and since then, let's just say the switch has been well and truly flipped. Steals Crypto for fun at this point. Anything for some adrenaline.
Utilitarian, very MacGyver-ish. High-level thinking, devilish looks, and fast-moving. Kira keeps the gang on their toes, and is always a step ahead. Her emotional swings, though – those are either going to save the day triumphantly or burn the bridge to cinders.
Hailing from Nigerian royalty bloodlines, Khalfani originally came here to open up an office for a multinational corporation. Very dry, doesn't get jokes, and not here to be your friend, he drives everywhere with security at 100mph. Do not waste his time.
He’s got wealth on a different level. "The Money" of the group, Khalfani funds their various missions. He knows a good ROI when he sees one — he’s connected to the rich and government officials wherever he goes. An aspirational iron man, he also tries to modify his body with expensive tech to remain on the bleeding edge.
With tiger parents who sent him to coding school at five years old, Neo is trilingual and super sharp. Ed’s protégé, he is quite possibly the scariest in the group because of his sheer potential. Doesn't speak much. Thinks unconventionally and has a finger on the pulse of all the latest technology.
Neo is a kid. And naturally, he is still very much the protégé in training and still learning – that being said, he offers help to the group and thinks well beyond his young years. He’s a pro at eating snacks and whooping your ass in chess and video games.
Construction worker by day, strongman and biohacker by night. Wolfgang knows the blockchain better than anyone, and his portfolio is nothing short of insane. A sleeping whale. While intelligent, don’t be fooled: this big tough softie definitely has an angry side. Blah, blah, blah, you DON'T want to see it.
The muscle. When things aren't cooperating, he gently “encourages” them to – through various means. Great intuition often audibles the next move to a much better one. Wolfgang is the eyes and ears of the NFT space. The Michael Saylor, putting Bitcoin in the Treasury Books.
Imani stands out as the greenhorn of the group. She’s a gearhead tomboy-turned-electrical engineer at UniverseX, and she’s been mining all sorts of crypto at home for years now. Shilled and rug-pulled three projects during the ICOs of 2017. Walked the dogs during the Shiba Coin stage. But now? Now she’s ready for something new. She’s also a known Supercar Enthusiast.
High tech, low bias. Imani will deconstruct and reconstruct anything, using any tools available. Brings her computer along with her everywhere, and pretty much does everything they do in the movie “Eagle Eye”, except completely on-the-fly. She also enjoys working on teleportation hardware in her free time.
Ed is an antisocial hacker from the Anonymous days who never had many friends He’s in his late 50s with no family around, and doesn't like showing his face – even to the gang. Very temperamental and touchy, he’s at his best when he’s left alone to work. Lives on weed and coffee.
Used to hack payment systems and big industry (oil, bank, gas and gold) servers, and focuses on legacy systems to help the gang get through older frameworks. And while Ed is definitely the proverbial "old mad boomer" of the hacking world, he’s a legend in the ring. Experience also has its advantages, and he acts as the group's moral compass. Kira
Been in the Albanian mafia his whole life and used to hustle Gold and Rupees – but now Anders just wants to live a peaceful life. No more breaking knees, just private keys. He already has it all – just not legally. One last try. Ten figures or bust.
Anders moves and cleans stolen Bitcoin for Governments and Ultra-High Net Worth Clients. He also owns the warehouse that the gang works out of, and is hereby default after finding out about the operation. This is his legacy; and he knows it.
Keem may be new to digital theft, but he’s definitely an OG to real-life theft. Originally from LA, he came up off of credit card scams before moving to PPP, and just recently bought a list of hacked Coinbase accounts. He needs the gang, and the gang needs him. Keem is ready and willing to go farther than anyone else and risk it all.
He moves fast, has street connections, and knows everyone in the city. Why are his people scared of him? Does he pay them? Don't ask questions you don't want to know the answer to. When he calls, you answer, and the job gets done. Not pretty, usually a last resort. Khalfani
A tried-and-true, dyed-in-the-wool, corrupted-to-the-bone pig, no mistaking it. Now this hog is itching for retirement. Known for planting drugs, falsifying evidence, and harboring hatred for people trying to work the system.
Acts as the slimeball, there's no other way around it. He'll do the highly illegal shit and use all means necessary to get what he needs – and he's not usually very friendly about it, either. He waves the badge around and gets the gangs into spots that they would otherwise need to think through in the blink of an eye. He’s the wolf in sheep's clothing, and he’ll stab your back to save his own in a heartbeat. It's all a straight business transaction with Thiel.
